I have learned a great deal about the culture and geography of the United Kingdom and of Great Britain, but I recently realized that I still have next to no idea about their extensive history. As an American I am really looking forward to learning and reacting to the history of Great Britain, and I believe it will give me much more context needed to understand the UK as it exists today.
