Smash Burgers Recipe:
Step 1
- Get Traeger to 400+ degrees using steel metal plate or cast iron works too
- Apply olive oil or spray olive cooking oil on the surface
- Keep on high heat for 20-30 minutes before putting on burgers
Step 2
- Use 80% lean burger and make 3.5 oz balls
Step 3
- Place on steel sheet or cast iron
- Smash the burgers down with wax paper or parchment paper in between
Step 4
- Season burgers to taste (REO Seasonal used here)
- Close lid and cook for 2.5 minutes
Step 5
- Flip the parties to crisp up the other side
- Add American Cheese to half of the burgers
- Then stack the burgers and add another piece of cheese
- Briefly close the lid and then remove the burgers
Step 6
- Add your favorite fixins and enjoy!!!
