Over five tonnes of cocaine substances bound for Europe were seized in Colombia, Colombian National Police reported on Thursday (September 15).
The National Police Anti-Drugs chief Tito Yesid said the cocaine packages were seized in raids in the ports of Barranquilla and Santa Marta. Some 2.7 tonnes were confiscated in Santa Marta and reportedly came from other locations in Cartagena and Ecuador.
According to the National Police statement, these substances were bound to Spain and Belgium.
