The video is a longer version of 'Introduction to Dienes Equipment: Decimals - Tenths'. The start is the same but this video provides pupils with additional opportunities to explore tenths. It is intended to be an introductory video although it assumes some knowledge of fractions. It discusses tenths using natural language but does not yet introduce formal notation.
Teachers could follow this up with a series of lessons that explore and extend the relationships further.
