Summary: Once upon a time, there was a handsome lawyer named Shankar. He moved into a spooky old mansion called the Mahal, which was dark and abandoned, and it had a really sad history.

Guess what? Shankar looked a lot like a guy in a painting who used to own the #Mahal a long time ago. But things got even spookier when he started seeing the ghost of a lady named Kamini, who was the old owner's girlfriend.

Kamini told Shankar he had to do something - either die or marry a girl named Asha, who was a servant's daughter. Shankar got super obsessed with this ghost lady, and his friend Srinath got really worried about him.

So, Srinath decided to help Shankar out and got him married to a beautiful lady named Ranjana. But here's the twist: Shankar's obsession with the ghost lady didn't go away. Instead, it got even worse!

He made poor Ranjana live in a nasty shack full of rats and bugs. It was so bad that Ranjana ended up taking her own life, and in her last words, she blamed Shankar for everything. It was really sad.

And guess what happened next? Shankar got arrested for Ranjana's death because everyone thought he did it. But then, something crazy happened.

Asha, the girl he was supposed to marry according to the ghost lady, revealed that she had been pretending to be Kamini all along. What a plot twist, right?

But just when things seemed like they were getting better, they found a suicide note from Ranjana. So, Shankar, still super obsessed with Kamini, got set free, and he headed right back to the creepy old Mahal.
