- I had some severe issues with vibrations travelling through the building to the neighbors. This platform got rid of all practically those issues.
- It's a very simple and efficient design that takes zero skill to build. See video for the sketch and materials used. The wood on the back of the platform are the leftovers from main wood center (don't need to buy multiple sheets of wood).
!!! for durability I suggest a toplayer of hard roller rubber to protect the soft tiles !!!
- Total cost for me was 470 euros (Excluding the baselayer I already had)

Droptests (up to 165kg / 364lbs):
- I'm 190cm tall (6ft23) so it's a relatively high drop
- My little gym is in a 'concrete bunker' with awful accoustics - sounds harsh)
- It sounds loud, but it isn't (compare it to the sound of my footsteps).

Maybe an Eleiko SVR will reduce even more noise+vibrations and will have less (and more controlled) bounce, but:
- It's too small (imo) (2m deep vs 2,7m for this platform)
- Price
- It uses foam in the platform that won't last forever.
- Not a stable surface for squat stands
- I have a baselayer of 1.25" (3,2cm) Sof DuraTrain tiles. This was my old platform. It might be overkill as a baselayer, but I had them anyway.
- For those who really needs to protect their floor, I recommend a wooden baselayer
- I got my tiles used.
