No really, that's what I originally named this video file and that was auto-filled in the description from Final Cut, so I left it there and I'll tell you why.. The fenders rubbing the tires was just the tip of the iceberg. I found so many things wrong while installing a clutch switch and performing a boost leak test that you now have a video salad that covers most of what took me 2 months to make.
I fix a LOT of stuff in this video, and while any one of them may appear underwhelming on its own, they are all huge gains for the quality of the tune I can achieve, the way the car performs going through the gears on the track and on the street. Some of these fixes nearly kept me from bringing the car to the shootout because of a parts fiasco that I wasn't quite prepared for. I did everything I could to work around it. Even though I ended it under a time crunch, I still filmed it all of it.
Don't get mad because I don't show the throttle body getting rebuilt in this particular video. I will make up for it. That footage belongs with the footage of me rebuilding every single turbo DSM throttle body in one video because I have all of them. Some of the parts are out of production now. I show you how to either source those parts or make them for yourself. I demonstrate the right and wrong screws to use an impact drive on... how to fix the damage you caused when you get that wrong, and how you need to own more than one kind of impact driver. I demonstrate a right and wrong way to put the seals back in, and how to put the springs back on with or without marking them. A leaky throttle body is not the perfect excuse to install an S90. You can rebuild it, and some are easier to rebuild than others.
This information will be useful to every single '89-'99 turbo DSMer out there with boost leaks. The fewer boost leaks you have in your turbo car, the better it will run under all conditions, period. These parts are up to 29 years old now, and rubber doesn't last forever. It doesn't last very long when your fenders cut into them, either. But the video title got changed because even though it was accurate, I think the new one is more appropriate.
