The A minor diagonal pentatonic exercise, you can improve your ability to navigate the fretboard through the minor pentatonic scale. We can call this 2.0 version of this exercise because it moves in four levels. First starting on G, Then starting on A, next starting on C, and lastly starting on D. This covers the whole fretboard. There are a few different first finger position shifts that get your through the whole scale. not only can you work on your alternate picking, but you can also use hammer-ons and pull-offs to improve your legato playing as well.
