It's easy to jump into these obscure subjects in mythic history and come to a number of conclusions. So often, what we're missing is the historicity and mythic context which such stories echo. In the case of the Nephilim and Anunnaki, there are certainly ways to understand what is otherwise obscure if we simply open ourselves to the greater story of humanity's mythic past. In that, we find that such stories are not at all obscure and there are a number of more sober ways to unpack this material.

As mentioned, there is plenty of mystery in regards to giants, demigods, etc. However, for those that are earnest and curious, here are a number of interpretations that offer you others paths of research.
