WhatsApp’s new docu-series, Crossing Cultures, hosted by Jessica Nabongo of The Catch Me If You Can (@Thecatchmeifyoucan), explores how diaspora communities around the world create a sense of home and connection to their culture, no matter where they live.
In Episode 4, we chat with three Turkish artists to learn how the city of Berlin supports them in finding community, creativity, and helps them in reconciling their many identities. In getting to know members of this community, we discover that having a community where you feel comfortable to explore instead of explain and show up instead of shy away gives you the opportunity to reclaim and express all the parts that make up you.
Watch the full episode to hear the stories of members of the Turkish community in Berlin and how they use WhatsApp to stay connected.
