Czestochowa, Poland-born Holocaust survivor Samuel Willenberg (Feb 16, 1923 - Feb 19, 2016) was one of 67 people known to have survived Treblinka. He created a series of 15 sculptures depicting scenes from the death camp. #PledgeToRemember

According to @yadvashem, Treblinka was the most lethal extermination camp of Operation Reinhard, where approximately 870,000 Jews were murdered during the thirteen months that the camp was in operation, from July 1942 through August 1943.
