Barbra Streisand has aired her views about the child sexual abuse allegations made against Michael Jackson in controversial Channel 4 documentary, Leaving Neverland. The singer and actress, 76, spoke out in a conversation with The Times to suggest that she “absolutely” believes what Wade Robson and James Safechuck claim in the Dan Reed film. However, the film star also implied that the late artist, who she describ the interview as “very sweet, very childlike”, was not entirely at fault. Directing a share of the “blame” towards the families of Wade and James, the Oscar-winner explained: “I blame, I guess, the parents, who would allow their children to sleep with him.” Barbra responded: "It's a combination of feelings. I feel bad for the children. I feel bad for him.” Growing up as fans of the Thriller singer, they recalled their excitement in meeting him for the first time. “He helped me with my creativity. With all those sorts of things. And he also sexually abused me... for seven years.” Stephanie Safechuck also admitted: “I didn't protect my son. That will always, always haunt me.”
