This video hopes to trace the 50 largest nations of all time, I am not infallible and I suspect I have forgotten a few states - if so, do let me know!
This video treats an “Empire” as any State that which holds considerable power over those within (Sovereignty) and without (Power Projection) of its borders, and is, at its respective time, a major power of its region; or, as any State to which the English title of “Emperor” can readily be applied to its Sovereign.
