One of the most well-known and respected pioneers of Indian theatre, Ibrahim Alkazi passed away on 4th of August 2020. He was known for his contribution to redefining the art of theatre and trained noted thespians like Naseeruddin Shah, Om Puri, Rohini Hattangadi in his time. He also rebuilt NSD from ground up and gave Indian Theatre a more modern approach to follow with landmark plays.
