Watch us work up a sweat as we unload a wagonload of 80 bales of first cut grass hay to stockpile for our goats and rabbits to eat.
We didn't want to delay until The Boys returned from a week at Boy Scout Summer Camp. Thursday was the start of a heatwave with heat index to be 100+ degrees Fahrenheit for at least a week and little to no chance of occasional cooling rain showers.
We did about 25%, then took a long supper break until the sun was lower and temps cooled off a bit, then we tackled the rest in about an hour of steady work.
Right now, we are going through about a bale of hay per day, so this will do us a little while until temperatures cool back off... or we get another good price too good to pass up and store more to get us through the winter.
