Eight cheetahs found hope amidst tragedy when their mothers passed away. The credit for their rescue goes to Kevin Richardson. Under Kevin's watchful care, these young cheetahs thrived on the picturesque landscapes of the Dinokeng Game Reserve.

Driven by a mission to preserve the invaluable genetics, the Metapopulation Initiative, led by the National Geographic Explorer, Vincent van der Merwe, spearheaded an initiative to enhance the genetic diversity of cheetahs by relocating them from areas with high populations to those with lower numbers.

We captured this translocation during a two-week adventure, accompanying Vincent van der Merwe on the road, documenting various projects and relocations, including the translocation of cheetahs from South Africa to Kuno National Park in India.
