Being an SDR will be hard if you aren’t wiling to work hard, adapt to changing circumstances, and ask for help.
The primary activities you will work on as an SDR are cold calling, prospecting, sending emails, begging account executives to accept your ops. Being an SDR will be hard if you only put in the bare minimum, it will be much easier if you put in a disproportionate amount of effort as everybody else. If everyone makes 80 cold calls per day, you need to be cold calling over 100 times per day.
Being an SDR will be hard if you don’t adapt to changing circumstances. When a pandemic hits, things get more challenging, when things change you need to adapt. This looks like constantly reiterating your messaging, this looks like listening to what other successful reps are doing and emulating them. This looks like adapting more of a social selling presences using LinkedIn. Sales is all about refining your process to become the most effective sales development rep you can be.
Being an SDR will be hard if you don’t ask for help.
