John Dowland's setting of the Earl of Essex' poem "O sweet woods", possibly written when he was exiled to his home in Wanstead, Essex, following one of his dismeanours. The refrain is a quote from his friend Sir Philip Sidney. Musicke in the Ayre performed this as part of their "Sweet Ayres of Arcadia" programme in BREMF@home, the virtual Brighton Early Music Festival.
