The "stated" purpose of the recent congressional hearing on the coronavirus pandemic was "to figure out how we can do better, learn by our mistakes, and be better prepared for the inevitability of the next pandemic," Dr. Anthony Fauci tells Rachel Maddow. "And it was complete vitriol and ad hominem ... And to me, that's the thing that scares me, because I think when you go down that road ... that will undermine our social order and undermine the fabric of our democracy."
