A Motion and Sound Video Portrait of actor Kerwin Mathews, star of the classic 1958 film, 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad'. From his first film, '5 Against the House' in 1954 to 'Nightmare in Blood' in 1978, Kerwin Mathews ran the gamut of genre's in the motion picture and television industry. His biggest splash was made in the fantasy film genre, most noteably in the sword and sorcery epic, 'The 7th Voyage of Sinbad' in 1958. Teamed with the wizardry of special effects master Ray Harryhausen, the film has stood the test of time and entertained millions of fans over the last half century. A 50th Anniversary edtion was released in late 2008 and the film is as popular, if not more so, than ever.
It's a shame Kerwin Mathews is not here to enjoy the continuing accolades. He passed away on July 5, 2007, peacefully, I have read, in his sleep. He is survived by his partner of 46 years, Tom Nicoll.
