Ms Mariatu Kargbo is a US-based attorney, a children's book author, and a freelance journalist.
She has written four books, Mr Byrd's Bird, Three Themne Titi Girls, Ripped Sunset and The Horse Against The Race. Her fifth book, The Playground Swing, will be available in the fall. She is a freelance journalist with Scars of Survival Magazine, where she has written three articles and Enjoy Magazine, where she has written two articles.
Ms Kargbo graduated from Prince George's Community College with an associate degree in criminal justice, a bachelor of arts in criminology and criminal justice from The University of Maryland College Park. She holds a Juris Doctor Degree from The West Virginia College of Law.
