The Part D Late Enrollment Penalty applies for those who delay signing up for a Medicare Part D Prescription Drug Plan AND have not had creditable drug coverage. Now, even if you DID have creditable coverage, you will still need to submit your attestation that arrives with your Part D Late Enrollment Penalty Notice sent to you by your new drug plan insurance company.
