The first batch of Amarnath Yatra pilgrims reached Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag on June 30. They were warmly welcomed by the Municipal Committee Chairman, members and the locals. The locals queued up by the roadside and showered flowers on the pilgrims during their arrival. Security force personnel were also deployed in the area for the smooth functioning of the yatra. Notably, the 62-day long ‘Amarnath Yatra’ will commence on July 1 and culminate on August 31.
