If you have the room to grow winter squash I highly suggest you do. Winter squash is nutritious and stores for months if cured right and kept in cooler temps. It's so nice to have fresh food on the dinner table in the middle of winter. Remember that once you harvest squash to keep it dry. If it should rain, dry off the squash and move to a warm, dry area. After 1-2 weeks your squash should be ready for storage. Keep in a cooler area 45-55 degrees. Some humidity is ideal, but not a high humidity. Keep the stems on to prevent rot. If a stem should come off you'll want to use the fruit soon. Thanks for watching!
