Oxford High School students in Michigan walked from the main school building to the nearby football field on Thursday.
WXYZ says the walkout was part of a protest over a lack of gun control laws and to show support for the victims of the school shooting this week in Texas.
A sophomore at Oxford High is accused of fatally shooting four classmates in November. Six other students and a teacher were wounded.
Ethan Curmbley is charged as an adult with first-degree murder, assault with intent to murder, terrorism and gun charges in the shooting at his school.
Oxford is 30 miles (50 kilometers) north of Detroit.
