Steven DeMarco (Stanley Tucci) is the adoptive father of two Colombian children from lawyer Howard Famiglia. The first, Davey, died shortly after the adoption was finalized from an undisclosed cause. After his death, Famiglia promised a replacement (after DeMarco demanded his $50,000 back) and six months after Davey's death, a daughter.
