In this video, I share the most basic, widely used paper mache technique: layering paper. This is a technique that has survived centuries and has been used in different variations by different cultures worldwide.
While I tried to remember everything I've worked out over years of doing this, I absolutely thought of more tips while editing. More to share in future videos! I hope you enjoy this video and get something out of it (sorry for the blurry parts - I'm working on quality!).

PLEASE NOTE: as I mention in the video, my preferred adhesive is plain white glue.
I meant to also state that I use ALL-PURPOSE white glue because it dries harder and stronger than washable glue or school glue. The link below is for a gallon, but smaller bottles work fine, too.

I also mentioned using flour paste and wallpaper paste. While both work for paper mache, I no longer use them. Projects made using flour paste can develop mold. And though wallpaper paste worked well for me, I had to stop using it because it began to irritate my skin.
