This week, we are proud to bring you a collision of two very connected worlds - New Work and Mathematics.
Daniel Jung is a Mathematics teacher turned YouTuber who is known amongst many German school and college students as a ‘life-saver.’

Daniel founded his YouTube channel ‘Mathe by Daniel Jung’ in 2011 after realizing that he was in high demand for extra tutorials, but did not want to sacrifice late nights anymore. Along came YouTube - as if purpose-built, where he began uploading his tutorials per Video and the channel grew from there. He also runs a website, called #Letsrockmathe - whereby students can join the Maths community and view tutorials, chat with Daniel, find solutions to mathematics problems and even complete entire mathematics courses online.

In this weeks video, we discuss not ‘new work’ but ‘new learning’ and the benefits that technology and online tools have for learners in the digital transformation era. Daniel and I discuss the positive impact of personalization in education and how Youtube, as well as other platforms, have allowed young people (and certainly people of all ages) to master their own learning by being able to access on-demand information from wherever and whenever they want or need it.
Now that’s what I call utilizing modern tools to your own advantage!
