See, in the last video, I had discussed how evolution in the field of AI has happened.?
we have been moving a lot of manual work to automation
and trying to automate everything, all tasks so that we can be more cost-effective.
and more profitable in lesser time with fewer efforts.
where continuously dumb human interaction is required, we are getting rid of it and making machines, robots do that repetitive work.
You can see a lot of manufacturing units, industries have already moved to automation.
machines have already taken our jobs.
but I guess now we are not only doing automation but smart automation,
we are adding a brain to automation by moving towards smart digitalization.
so considering this, which jobs will be replaced by smart machines, is a question?
Traditional work where critical skills like critical management, critical analysis,
a repetitive task, critical thinking, creativity is not required will be taken away from us.
we are coming up with driverless cars in the near future, will not require drivers,
waiters in restaurants are just doing repetitive work to take orders and serve food,
will be replaced by robots,
Food delivery: today humans are delivering hot testy food to a doorstep,
The currier boy is delivering you a letter, documents and items bought online.
Today we have labored in factories to take care of preparing, cleaning, packing and also as security.
Those are working as a customer care executive, we won't require humans to take
care of customers now.
Wherever you see a repetitive task, obvious predictability and no critical
thinking, management and smartness not required, these are the jobs in danger and vanishing soon.
I can list n number of jobs:-
Delivery boys, Drivers,
Accounting, BookKeeping, Clerks,
Cashiers, receptionist, bank tellers,
Data entry personnel, Inspectors, Testers,
assistants and even computer programmers.
Yes, I mean even laid back computer programmers,
World Bank had said, 70% of IT sector jobs will be taken away.
Andrew Ng said, Machine Learning starts where you think you can not code.
Sounds Scary, Horrible isn't it?
So ask a question yourself are you doing any of these dumb tasks where no critical thinking involved,
then I need to change myself and adapt to the continuously changing technologies.
today make a promise to yourself that I'll also transform myself too.
Does that mean all us are going to be jobless and doing nothing?
Not really, if some jobs disappear it opens up doors to new opportunities, new types of jobs.
Same questions had been asked in the '70s,
if calculators, computers are going to do our task what we will be doing but eventually
it has created new field computer science and sow many direct and indirect jobs though.
Treat AI, Machine like a dog, ask them to do your repetitive work.
We will still need trainers to train a dog.
What are the new hot jobs that are coming up in the near future?
Robot Manufacturer - like Boston dynamics - Yaskawa electronic robot village
Artificial Body manufacturer - except brain everything can be replaced in the near future
Big data and AI scientist
Healthcare - de Vinci machine does surgery- doc can perform surgery from anywhere
Psychologist/therapist
Management, Leadership related jobs, investment bankers, digital marketing, CA's
Gene designer for babies and pet
Creativity - music, photographs, editing
Sales - chatbots are there but they still can not do personalized sales which require human intelligence
Nutritionist.
Cyber Security/ Person data Brokerage
Education - new way of educations, classroom training will vanish, Online trainers
VR/AR
Trash Engineer's
Body/Organ creator
In short, Whichever field requires super specialization, critical thinking will survive
Traditional technical skills will vanish and Managerial skills and mainly people skill go far
Change is the only constant and now that change is learning,
to keep you alive and keep going long.
Credits will remain to the respective owners.
