The place has less visitors as not many are aware of this place as it's not marketed much. It has a unique nice and good collection of cars. Few of the cars have information tablet .
Vintage cars and vintage bikes are kept in between the coffee estate. Those who love a little nature walk and enjoy old vehicles this is the place to visit with family and kids. Kids not only enjoy the walk amidst nature but also the vintage car and bike collection.
To reach here by private vehicle you need to stop at main road and take a walk for next 750 meters through coffee plantation.
Kodagu vintage car beauties owned by P.C. Ahmed Kutti Haji was a coffee planter and also an industrialist. A mechanic both by passion and profession, he had a huge collection of vintage cars which he used to thrown open to public as a well-organised exhibition from Apr. 4, 2014.
Collecting vintage cars was a hobby for Ahmed who had 86 of them and over 15 vintage petrol jeeps, 20 old two-wheeler's , a 125-year-old bicycle and a 200-year-old bullock cart. The oldest car in the collection is 1925 model.
Ahmed had a long cherished dream of exhibiting his vintage cars in an organised way at his ‘Mubarak Estate’ at Nellihudikeri .
Ahmed used to give the old cars a fresh coat of paint and tune them to working condition. He had been in the hobby of collecting vintage items over the last 50 years. Almost all foreign cars between 1925 and 1965 figure in Ahmed’s collection.
Barring Dharmasthala, no other place in the State has such a wide collection of vintage cars. Ahmed has exhibited his four-wheeled ‘beauties’ at the vintage car festival in Bangalore. Ahmed had organised the vintage car exhibition at his estate earlier which drew almost 10,000 visitors including students.
Ahmed picked up a passion for vintage cars through his father who too had a similar hobby but the collection was fewer than his.
