Serbian Defense minister Vucevic, also the head of Serbia’s ruling party after President Vucic’s quit, visited Wednesday the military base in Raska, near Kosovo.
Vucic has placed the country's army on full combat alert and ordered its units to move closer to the border with Kosovo after clashes there between protesters and police.
NATO said on Tuesday it was sending additional 700 troops to Kosovo as dozens of NATO troops secured a municipal building in the Kosovo town of Zvecan.
But Macron, the president of NATO member France, said on Wednesday that Kosovo authorities bore "responsibility" following clashes this week over local election results that left more than 80 people injured.
Beijing on Wednesday said China always supports Serbia’s effort to uphold its sovereignty and territorial integrity, urging de-escalation.
