More than 300 partners from the People, Private and Public (3P) sectors gathered on 10th July for the Partners for the Environment (PFE) Forum to discuss and come up with practical and scalable solutions for climate action.
Organised by the Ministry of the Environment and Water Resources and Global Initiatives, this second edition of the PFE was co-located with the CleanEnviro Summit Singapore, Singapore International Water Week and World Cities Summit.
The theme for the Partners for the Environment Forum 2018 is “Accelerating Action on Climate Change”, to address the existential threat posed by climate change.
Participants got the chance to hear from distinguished speakers such as Mr. Tomasz Chruszczow, Special Envoy for Climate Change, Poland’s High Level Climate Champion, Ms Jessica Cheam, Chairperson, Climate Action SG Alliance, and Ms Yulanda Chung, Head of Sustainability in the Institutional Banking Group of DBS.
Two new initiatives were announced at Partners for the Environment Forum 2018 – a first-ever climate action badge programme for The Singapore Scout Association, and a web-based application by the Singapore Environment Council that helps individuals and organisations track their carbon footprint.
