Learn some useful English in a fun way. I show you around the outside of where we're staying on vacation and introduce new vocabulary.

VOCABULARY USED IN THIS LESSON

* Vacation is American English. Holiday is used more in the U.K. I can say: we're on vacation / holiday.

* Show around: show you the different parts of the house

* Fence: you can see a fence around the pool and around the garden.

* the sun has gone behind the clouds

* hanging washing out to dry: this is when you put clothes outside to dry

* sit back and relax: a common phrase that is similar to chill out

* run the heater / air conditioner: this means to have the heater on.

* through traffic: cars and other vehicles that pass through the neighborhood to go somewhere else

* when the birds are signing, you can't hear anything: this is a conditional sentence and one that doesn't make sense! If you hear birds singing, you can hear something!
