In this part of our San Gerardo de Dota series, we are searching for the beautiful Resplendent Quetzal bird. This is part 3 of the video series, and we will share highlights from birding two different trails in search for quetzales. We also stop at Restaurant and Soda Dona Marlen for lunch and a tour of the plant nursery (vivero).

► 1) Cabinas Quetzaly (trails are only open to guests of Cabinas Quetzaly or Cabanas San Gerardo)
► 2) Casa Monge - we paid a small fee for access to the trails, and since there had been recent sightings of Quetzales, they even took us the the exact spot in the forest to find it.
