While, women have been able to legally seek an abortion throughout the United States since the 1973 Supreme Court decision Roe v. Wade, many conservative states have introduced measures restricting access to services and creating for many women an effective ban. In Mississippi, the state's last abortion clinic remains, despite the presence of protesters and mounting legislative pressure.
