The true Martial Arts contain a lot more then just a set of tough fighting skills and strategies. It's a way of life, a philosophical one, including the arts of healing. In the old days, when people in Asia could not afford a docter, they visited the masters within martial arts schools or fighting monks within the monestries, knowing they knew how to help. Even the instructors at the Kodokan Judo Headquarters in Tokyo were highly praised for their medical knowledge. There is an old proverb within the Shaolin Temple in China that says: "If you want to learn how to fight, then first learn how to heal. Hurting people is so easy".
