Jeremy's investing journey started during the 2008-2009 financial crisis, as a young 18 or 19-year-old. With just a few hundred dollars, he began his expedition into the stock market. Balancing minimum wage jobs like at Walgreens and accounting courses at a community college, Jeremy's enthusiasm for business and investing grew. A mantra he lived by was ensuring his income surpassed his expenses, enabling him to invest further.
An astute observation at QuikTrip led to one of his stellar investments in Monster Energy, back when it was Hansen's Natural Beverage. By age 25, key picks like Monster Energy and Cabela’s (acquired by Bass Pro Shops) bolstered Jeremy’s portfolio to an impressive $200,000.
From humble beginnings of earning less than $2,000 on YouTube in his inaugural year, Jeremy's earnings skyrocketed to approximately $50k in his second year, and an impressive $250k in the third.
His sage advice to budding investors? Focus on 10-15 beloved companies, immerse yourself in research, and hold for the long haul. Dive into financial statements and business frameworks. If you're an older investor, consider dividend stocks to derive income and simultaneously tap into market ascension.
Jeremy’s guiding principle: Drown out the background chatter and be true to your unique strategy. Avoid succumbing to fleeting trends. Concentrate on long-term company potentials and trust in your evolving skill to appraise businesses. Remember, investing is a deeply personal journey; it's crucial to pinpoint a strategy aligning with your temperament, passions, and aims. Cherish the wealth of knowledge Jeremy shares, drawing from his 14-year robust investing odyssey.
