After the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9, protests against the Pakistan Army erupted throughout the country. Subsequently, Imran Khan was granted bail by the Supreme Court of Pakistan, marking a temporary victory against the army. However, the Pakistan Army has now shifted its focus to Imran's party, PTI, and its leaders. Under pressure from the army, several prominent PTI leaders have resigned from the party. The most notable among them is Fawad Chaudhry, followed by Asad Umar. Earlier, PTI leader Shireen Mazari also distanced herself from Imran. Individuals who refuse to align with the army's agenda are being subjected to repeated arrests. In yet another setback for Imran, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif suggested that the government may consider banning PTI. Nevertheless, the former cricket team captain is determined not to give up. In his latest message to supporters, Imran urged them to remain patient but to continue their fight.
