“Solo Dolo, Pt. IV” was performed by Kid Cudi in Paris, France on November 20, 2022. He announced that his next album has been in the works since 2020. After releasing Man On The Moon III, Cudi joined forces with Playboi Carti to create this track on December 18, 2020, during sessions for Whole Lotta Red.

This is one song I’ve been sitting on for a while. It features my brother, Playboi Carti, and it’s called “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV”

This is one of three currently known collaborations between the two artists, along with “M3tamorphosis” and the unreleased remix of “Pissy Pamper” by Young Nudy.

On May 15, 2023, Cudi tweeted that “Solo Dolo, Pt. IV” won’t appear on his upcoming album due to clearance issues with Carti.

He wont clear it which is very weak. So yea it wont be on there. Which is ok becuz the shit I have on this album fuckin smacks and ur faces will melt

On April 11, 2024, a CDQ snippet would surface, and on April 15, the complete session would leak alongside the full song.
