In this segment of Fake Leather Lies we unpack a couple more misconceptions 🤔
1. The belief that real leather is difficult to maintain. Though leather may require more work than clothes that are worn just to wear and replace, if leather is conditioned regularly it can be a wardrobe piece that literally lasts a lifetime. Match that with mindful exposure to heat and moisture and it becomes generational.
2. The belief that fake leather is more durable than real leather. In our example of a motorcycle accident if a motorcyclist was wearing a vinyl jacket it would be shredded to pieces -- leaving the person underneath with serious injuries. Leather, being a much thicker material, would be able to withstand the blunt of the road rash.
See our video with Larry Hahlushka where he describes how his leather jacket saved his life in a near death motorcycle accident.
