Important adjustment made on my 24 Valve Cummins. In this video i adjust valve lash on my 5.9 cummins engine. I have a video up on the channel already that shows the cummins valve lash adjustment procedure more in depth. Adjusting valve lash on 24v cummins engines can help to quiet the engine down a little bit while it's running, and it's said to restore some power and mpg to give you better fuel mileage. Valve lash noise is one thing that really stands out to me though, after the cummins valve lash adjustment it is noticeably quieter. I do not use any special cummins valve lash tool to adjust my valves, although i have heard that there is a tool for the job.
