Ingredients for Beef Burgundy: 3-4 Person
Beef Marinade:
500g Chuck Beef
1 Medium Carrots
1 Medium Yellow Onion
1-2 Bay Leaf
1 Tsp Dried Thyme or 2 sprigs thyme
400ml Red Wine
Browning Beef:
2 Tbsp Olive Oil (any oil is fine)
½ Tsp Salt
½ Tsp Pepper
Stew:
150g Button Mushrooms
2-3 Tbsp Butter
3 Garlic Cloves
1 Tbsp Tomato Paste
2 Tbsp Flour
500ml Beef stock(400ml Water+1 Beef Bouillon)
¼ Tsp Salt and ½ Pepper
1 Tbsp Worcestershire
1 Tbsp Oyster Sauce
2 Tbsp Chopped Parsley
(for garnish)
Ingredients for Mashed Potato:
500g Potatoes
1 Tbsp Salt
500ml Water or more
Flavouring:
2 Tbsp Unsalted Butter
½ Cup Milk/Cream
🔯 Beef Burgundy or Beef Bourguignon is a french dish made with beef, carrots, onions and mushrooms slow-cooked in a rich wine sauce.
For the most magnificent stew, marinate for 24 hours and after cooking keep it in the ref for 1-2 days before you plan to serve it. I used a Pressure Cooker instead of an oven.
