This stunning private villa is situated on the south point of Mahe overlooking the
beautiful beach and ocean beyond. Mahe is the largest of the Seychelles Islands
and the villa is only a twenty-minute drive from Mahe International Airport, and
thirty minutes from Victoria.
The villa is surrounded by a tropical garden, with the stunning swimming pool
and the gazebo overlooking the beautiful beach of Anse Takamaka. The design of
the house rejects anything that feels European or complicated, with the concrete
floor and walls tinted with local earth and finished by hand-buffing with wax,
bestowing on them a warm, timeless patina. The windows have no glass, only
shutters to protect from the rain and wind.
There are four air-conditioned double bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a
dressing room, a large living room with a dining zone, a kitchen and a large
veranda overlooking the bay. The living room is furnished with a large scale sofa,
chairs, tables, and chaise longues that were crafted to the architect's design in a
local workshop. African fabrics and masks, shells, bamboo lamps, hand-worked
trays and plates, are the only adornments in the rooms.
The friendly villa manager speaks both English and French and is onsite to assist
guests with their needs during their stay. The other staff members comprise of a
maid and a grounds keeper.
The villa is only a short distance from many of the most beautiful beaches on the
island. Some of these beaches include the so-called Blue Lagoon, Anse Soleil,
Anse Intendance, and Anse Takamaka which is only a five minute walk from the
villa.
