Effective September 1, it became a felony for individuals on parole to tamper with or cut off their electronic monitor. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Board of Pardons and Paroles, and Office of Inspector General will work together to ensure those that violate this condition of their parole are arrested and prosecuted.
