President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. administers the oath of office to newly appointed Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr. in a ceremony at the Study Room in Malacañan Palace on January 13, 2023.

Secretary Galvez initially served as Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity under the current Administration prior to his appointment.
