I introduce the Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen paradox, which concludes that quantum entanglement must proceed from hidden variables in quantum systems. I then show how experiments using Bell's inequality (John Stewart Bell) are used to determine whether there are hidden variables or if quantum entanglement really is so-called spooky action at a distance.
