All the way back in 2019, I made my first music video with Into. Four years later, Across tests how far I've come as an editor. From a logo change to a few new flow techniques, I'm getting more confident with my style with every video. That said, it took FOREVER to think of a song for this one! The movie was more "Miles verses the Multiverse" than the "Spider-Gang Reunion Special" I was hoping for before the teaser happened. In short, I had no idea what to use for a couple months. While sifting through my never-ending playlist, however, Let There Be Carnage's hit was the only one that made sense. Don't worry, I'll get to the first Venom song real~ soon...
WHY THIS MOVIE
Rio was right in her warning, the world Miles wanted to enter DIDN'T take care of him like his family did. But thanks to his dad's morality, his mom's tenacity, and his uncle's skill...ity(?), Miles was able to overcome a whole MULTIVERSE out to get him. You're place in all of this can't be given by someone else, no matter how much power everyone thinks they have. It's YOUR story you have control over, so use all the abilities you've learned to forge your own path if you need to.
WHY THIS SONG
A fight song would've been too obvious, and I'm personally one of the few against the Miles and Gwen pairing (Gwiles? Milen? See? Even the SHIP NAMES are terrible!). This song evokes a feeling of power that comes from understanding your struggles and that sometimes you'll have to face the world alone. You belong. And if anyone tells you there's no room, you're more than strong enough to make some for yourself and all who will come after.
Go watch the movie and listen to the song however you can. But don't forget to come back for more weirdly amazing fits.
