Perfectly positioned in the heart of Mesopotamia lies the ancient city of Mardin and the UNESCO site of Nemrut Dagi Turkey.
Often overlooked and far from the beaches and package holidays associated with southern Turkey, we set out to explore the gorgeous city of Mardin. From there we head west to discover more about the iconic mount Nemrut Dagi, but will it be what we expect?
After months of exploring Turkey by road, it’s fair to say both these places have left a lasting impression.
