Beautiful sunsets. Terrific Food. Fantastic Beach.
This is Armacao de Pera, Portugal. In the Algarve.
We have featured quite a few of the exciting cliffjumping beaches from Lagoa, and some others towards Albufeira, but Armacao is a great change of pace and has a great stretch of beach from which to catch some money sunsets.
Along the promenade, which starts at Pedro's Bar, there are plenty of great places to eat, for reasonable prices. We point out a few of them mixed in with a sunset beach stroll.
Aside from the great food in Armacao, which includes Pipa Restaurante, we also show off some of the great Portuguese food of the "Casa de Pasto a Cisterna," which is located in the nearby village of Alcantarilha.
Can't get enough of the great food and beach, the sunset stroll also included a pretty funny standoff between a cat - who looks to have built itself a fort on the beach - and an excited dog that went yapping by.
Armacao's sunset beach strolls are serene, the birds flying past, the sound of the waves crashing ashore - ah yeah, just can't get enough of it.
There's no life like the good life, I like to say. This was the last day of our summer trip in 2019. Ah yeah.
