What does it means to be a lifelong learner in today’s fast-paced society? We had the privilege of speaking with Chin Wang, a senior volunteer trainer at RSVP Singapore - The Organisation of Senior Volunteers, who helps the elderly in her community get acquainted with the computer, as well as other electronic devices. Confronted with a landscape that was increasingly dominated by technology, Chin Wang chose to step out of her comfort zone to learn more about the computer, so that she could stay relevant in today’s world and connect with her younger family members at the same time. Her own struggles with technology inspired her to take the extra step of becoming a trainer, which gave her the opportunity to help other senior citizens that were experiencing the same difficulties. If you wish to find out more about Chin Wang’s amazing transformation from student to teacher, do stay tuned for the second episode of our WomenTalk-SG Cares series, which will be coming out next week!
